Architects expect a bumper year with multi-million pound contracts to work on
RLT Architects, which has offices in Chyandour Lane, specialises in sustainable development and is working on a number of nationwide contracts with a value of about £20 million.
As well as developing schemes in Cornwall, the company is working on projects in Bristol, Devon, South Wales and Scotland.
RLT's director Danny Cooper said: "2010 is going to be an extremely busy year for us with the projects that are under way and in the pipeline."
Busy
"It's great that we are winning work nationally as one of our key aims is to win work outside Cornwall and bring the economic benefit back to the county.
"We're pleased to be able to say that we're doing that."
Projects include the £3 million development of a site at West Street, one of the main arterial routes into Bristol.
RLT is also working on the redevelopment of an industrial site in Glasgow, as well as a private housing scheme in South Wales.
In order to help with the increased workload, RLT has expanded its team with the appointment of RIBA chartered architect, Christian Simmons.
