Adam launches agency to promote work of churches

Thursday, October 08, 2009, 07:00

A SOUTH Molton graduate has started an advertising agency to help churches promote their work and hopefully turn around the decline in congregations.

Adam D'Souza, 21, has founded the Floreant advertising agency which offers a range of marketing and advertising services specifically to churches.

Adam said: "Recent Church of England figures suggest that 1.7 million people nationally are attending church each month — but there can be no denying that many parishes in North Devon have seen a slump in numbers.

"I want to help turn these parishes around. The Church of England is an institution at the heart of both our communities and society."

Adam had the idea while studying Classics at Royal Holloway University in London where he was an active member of the Chapel fellowship.

He added: "Every Christian is called to make a difference somehow, so it was natural I should found a business to use my skills to help out with a very worthy cause in the local area."
