A TRIP to Australia inspired a woman to set up in business, with a new website adding to her success.

Cool box distributor ICEY-TEK is run by Julia Nute, who runs the company from her farm near Feock.

She discovered the products while is Australia and decided to import them as they were unlike anything available on the UK market.

She said: "I was really impressed because the boxes were so much more robust and durable than anything I had seen or tried before.

"That was in 2006 and the business has really grown since then.

"We're the sole UK and European distributors and our markets range from the leisure, camping, fishing, boating and outdoor pursuits industry to commercial catering and even the medical industry."

ICEY-TEK need no power as ice will keep cold in them for up to 10 days. Business Link provided funding for the firm to improve its website, which its owner believes has boosted the company.

She said: "The website is our 'shop front' for potential customers so making a fantastic first impression is absolutely essential.

Bespoke

"We do a lot of work with the Seafish grant scheme providing insulated boxes for commercial fishermen and we also supply the product to other big companies like Sainsburys, the NHS and Bacardi and we offer a bespoke service for commercial clients, which includes customising the cool boxes."

The new website was developed by Perranarworthal-based Hudson Armstrong Design.

Its sales and marketing manager Jo Downie said: "The website design is fresh and clean, like the boxes, and is easy for the customer to navigate and make purchases."
