There is still time to enter this year’s Bath Business Awards, organised by The Bath Chronicle.
The deadline for entries has been extended to Friday, September 24, to give people more time to put together their nominations.
There are ten awards up for grabs at this year’s ceremony, which is being held at Bath Racecourse on September 27.
Categories include Business Person of the Year, the Training and Development Award, Small Business of the Year, Innovative Start Up Business of the Year, Retailer of the Year and a Lifetime Achievement Award, which will honour the person who has made a lasting contribution to business in the city over the last 20 years.
Chartered accountants Bishop Fleming have entered the Business of the Year section.
In its nomination the firm said it was one of very few companies in the city to be growing while increasing its commitment to training and developing staff.
It said: “Since we stepped in and rescued the Bath office of Target Accountants, we have secured employment for over 30 members of staff and have invested almost £1 million in developing the office.”
Internet-based advertising firm Search Star has been put forward for the Customer Service Award by one of its own members of staff Libby Thomas.
Ms Thomas said: “I’ve only been working at Search Star for a month and have been overwhelmingly impressed by the customer service provided to clients. Each of the six account managers is incredibly responsive, proactive and dedicated to their customers, with a genuine passion for providing service that goes above and beyond.”
This is the second Bath Business Awards after a successful inaugural event in 2011.
