Nettl of Gloucester has become the first Nettl.com franchise to open in the UK as part of an extensive rollout of the new web studio brand.
It has partnered with Gloucester business Absolute Creative in a collaboration offering web shops and online apps and resources to help Gloucestershire SMEs compete with their national and international rivals.
Welcoming the launch, Richard Graham, MP for Gloucester, said: “It’s fantastic to see Gloucester’s potential being recognised by a dynamic new brand such as Nettl, who clearly have the vision and the resources to sustain long-term, successful high street franchises.
“With inward investment of nearly a quarter of a billion pounds, Gloucester is undergoing a major transformation, which will fuel socio-economic growth for future generations of the town.”
Peter Gunning, chief technology officer at Nettl.com, which is part of Grafenia plc, said: “Nettl of Gloucester is the start of an intensive period of growth we are anticipating over the coming months as Nettl.com begins to appear on high streets throughout the country.”
Chris Nyland, founding director at Absolute Creative and new franchisee of Nettl of Gloucester, said: “This is an exciting new chapter for us.
“The launch marks our move to a prominent new studio and an opportunity for us to continue our consistent growth, targeting the 5,000 new start-ups across the county that launch every year with the new services and digital solutions we can now provide alongside our existing offering.
“After setting up eight years ago we have become a firm part of the Gloucester fabric. We’re proud to have always been based in the Westgate Quarter area of town, known for championing small and independent businesses.
“Moving in to the former John Lawrence tailors, we have been inspired by it and our visitors will see nods to the longstanding heritage throughout the studio.
“From tailored suits to tailored website solutions, Nettl of Gloucester represents the evolution of the high street and we are excited about the opportunities ahead.”
The Gloucester franchise joins four company-owned Nettl.com web studios which opened at the end of 2014 in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Dublin.
