Leading West Country recruitment specialist Concept Staffing has appointed a new manager for their Bridgwater branch.

Janet Phillips has 10 years’ experience working in the recruitment industry after being made redundant from her managerial position in the printing profession.

In 2004 she became branch manager for Concept Staffing’s Taunton branch and was soon promoted to executive branch manager for multiple branches throughout Somerset.

After a period as interim manager for Bridgwater in 2005, Janet embarked on the challenge of opening a Concept branch in Yeovil and managing Yeovil alongside Taunton.

This January saw Janet return to Bridgwater to take on full responsibility of the branch together with Taunton.

Both branches specialise in industrial, driving, catering, engineering and office sectors, all of which Janet refers to as Team Taunbridge.

Janet, from Taunton, said: “Team Taunbridge is my name for everyone I work with in Taunton and Bridgwater. It’s a strong unit working within a patch that enables us to have the expertise needed within different industry sectors.

“Every member of the team has a positive attitude for success and we are always looking for value added services for our clients.”

Janet’s plans for 2009 with the Bridgwater branch is to replicate the success of Taunton in delivering the Concept Staffing promise; providing bespoke packages specific to individual client needs. Janet said: “Bridgwater is a very exciting prospect with its regeneration plans for more industries, more schools and housing. I’m looking forward to making a real difference here.”

Celebrating more than 20 years in business, Concept Staffing finds jobs for up to 1,000 people with more than 500 different clients each week.

It turns over £17 million annually and is part of the Acorn Group. Karen Sharpin, Concept’s divisional manager, said: “Janet has been with us for five years and has made a positive impact in every position she has worked in. Her previous experience in recruitment, HR, sales, customer service and manufacturing has been a major advantage in helping her achieve success.

€œJanet has lived in Somerset for a long time and holds great local knowledge of the area and its business needs.
