Publisher Sue Richardson of SRA Books to move to Bristol

An award-winning publisher is set to move to Bristol, which she describes as the “international centre for development of contemporary art and design.”

Publisher Sue Richardson of SRA Books will move to Bristol from next Monday.

The company, set up in 2010 by Sue, has traded from offices in Alcester, Warwickshire for the last five years.

But they will call Spike Island home starting Monday, with the publisher already expressing her love for the area.

The managing director added: “I think the new offices will be great.

“Spike Island is a wonderfully creative and vibrant hub full of exciting young art and design talent. I think the atmosphere there will be perfect for SRA Books.”

The company provides consultancy and publishing services for authors, particularly those who are creating books to help them build their business profile and their brand.

A spokesman for the firm added: “Bristol offers the company a whole range of exciting new opportunities, from finding innovative new companies and authors who want high-quality books through to recruiting fresh young creative talent.

“Sue and her team are looking forward to benefiting from Bristol’s global reputation for digital innovation and creative flare and see it as the perfect home for the company which has plans to grow quickly over the next five years.”

Over the next few months SRA Books will be publishing several business books to add to their growing list, including Charismatic to the Core, the new book by charisma expert and highly acclaimed speaker Nikki Owen.

The new Authority series of books for business professionals will be launched in spring 2016 with titles on marketing, business resilience and networking.

There are also further craft books in the offing following the best selling success in 2015 of Let’s Hubble by bead artist and jeweller Melanie de Miguel.
