What is the best way to commute across Bristol? Car? Bus? Bicycle?

Employees at architects firm Stride Treglown wanted to find out so decided to stage their own race, a la Top Gear.

They all set off from Temple Meads station in Bristol at 8.30am, during the morning rush hour, and headed for the firm's offices in Clifton.

The race included an electric car, electric bike, push bike, motorbike, train (to Clifton Downs then walk), taxi, the recently launched Uber service, running and walking.

To add extra interest, they were given a task to do such as answering some emails. Those who couldn’t do that on the move, had to fulfil the task at their desk before they officially finished.

And they all had to stick within the law. So need speeding (not that you have much chance of that in Bristol rush hour).
