Apprentice winner sees business boom under wing of Lord Sugar

Climb Online, the digital marketing agency founded by BBC Apprentice winner Mark Wright, is celebrating its two-year anniversary having beaten all its growth plans.

Mark, one of the most successful winners of the hit BBC One series to date, launched the company with Lord Sugar in January 2015.

Starting with seven staff, the agency has grown from strength to strength and now boasts 40 employees in four locations across Essex, central London and it opened its newest office in Bradley Stoke, near Bristol, last year. The company also has plans also in place to expand overseas into Cape Town, South Africa, during the next 12 months.

The company was the only Apprentice-born business to make a profit in its first year of trading, and is forecast to turn over in excess of £4 million at the close of year two – more than double the £1.7 million figure it hit in its first year.

Mark, 27, said he is determined to make Climb Online the most covetable digital marketing firm in the world.

“I’m extremely proud of everything Climb Online has achieved to date,” he said. “Aside from exceeding our own growth objectives, we have successfully aided the growth and development of hundreds of businesses from across the UK and overseas through innovative digital marketing campaigns.

“This of course would not have been possible without the dedication of my hardworking team, and Lord Sugar’s ongoing support. I can’t wait to see what the next two years bring.”

Working with multi-nationals including Groupon, Be Wiser Insurance and Imagine Cruising, it has an impressive client retention rate of 92 per cent.

Lord Sugar added: “It’s great to see everything Climb Online has achieved in the past two years. The digital marketing sector is booming as businesses realise how important marketing online is. Climb Online has been able to show its customers great results and that has been the secret to the success of our business.

“The next 12 months looks bright for us as we look to open several regional offices to support local businesses all around the UK.”
