Free cyber security workshop for SMEs to take place in Bristol

Business support organisation Brave Enterprise is hosting a free cyber security workshop for small firms in Bristol as police warn that SMEs are being targeted by online criminals.

The presentation on October 17, which will teach small business owners how to protect themselves from the latest online threats, is being presented by Joanne Bocko of Avon and Somerset Police.

Joanne said: “Cyber criminals have identified that SMEs are a highly lucrative target due to the limited investment and resources available for cyber security compared to corporations and multi-nationals.

“As cyber protect officer, the main part of my role is to increase awareness as to the tricks criminals utilise and to strengthen businesses resilience to cybercrime.”
