UWE to host event exploring future business links with China

UWE is hosting the Bristol and West of England China Bureau Pow Wow, which will offer insights on future business links with China, on November 23.

The networking event will provide a deeper insight into exporting education as a two-way relationship, reaching out to Chinese students.

Attendees will have the opportunity to check out facilities at the new UWE Business School.

Bureau director Richard Lowe said: “This evening is about how UWE can support local businesses and improve student engagement.

“Business leaders will get a valuable insight on how UK education providers can help foster a more effective two-way relationship with China.”

The Pow Wow will feature Noordin Shehabuddeen, director of UWE’s Bristol Business Engagement Centre (BBEC) and associate professor in innovation and entrepreneurship, who will describe how UWE recruits in China and how the students, once they arrive in Bristol, interact with UK businesses.

The event is taking place from 6pm to 8.30pm at UWE Business School on Coldharbour Lane.

China Bureau Corporate and Personal Members are entitled to invite a complimentary guest. Students are welcome to complimentary tickets.
