Finalists in the Stroud Life Awards 2017 are unveiled

Finalists in this year’s Stroud Life Awards have been unveiled.

The judging panel for the annual event which has become a major date on the Five Valley’s calendar, met on Thursday, May 11 at The Bear of Rodborough Hotel.

Entries were received throughout the early part of this year for the awards night, made possible once again by headline sponsor WSP Solicitors.

“We had a tough task as judges to find the very best and we all gave the entries very careful consideration,” said Stroud Life editor Ben Falconer.

“I would like to thank our sponsors and judges for taking their duties so seriously, and choosing worthy finalists and winners.

“I thank all those who entered and congratulate all those who have made it to the final stage – the awards evening on Thursday, June 29 promises to be a memorable occasion, celebrating the very best of Stroud.”

Every year since 2009 - June 24 to be precise, at Forest Green Rovers FC’s Nailsworth football ground – the awards have celebrated those companies and individuals who make Stroud district the great place it is to live and work.

“Stroud Life awards are a great way of celebrating the diverse, innovative and loyal place that the Stroud District is,” said Judi Bonham, managing partner of WSP – which has offices in Stroud, Durlsey, Nailsworth and Gloucester.

“With WSP having been involved as main sponsors for seven years I can honestly say it gives me great pleasure to see businesses and individuals that have entered the awards flourish.”
