One of the region’s most significant property experts - which has its head office in Gloucester - has announced James Bailey has been elected managing partner for a term of three years.

Mr Bailey joined Bruton Knowles in 1998 and has “enjoyed a varied professional general practice career in the utility, public and commercial sectors” according to the Quedgeley-based firm.

He has been responsible for the Nottingham office since 2006 and under his leadership the Nottingham team has grown in size and standing in the market.

Mr Bailey was also instrumental in opening the Manchester office in 2010.

Taking over the helm from one of the key architects of Bruton Knowles, Patrick Downes, he will look to build on the successes of the firm, which – in addition to strong financial growth – has included the opening of several new offices, most recently Worcester.

Mr Bailey said: “As we enter a new phase in our long history as a Limited Liability Partnership, we are in an excellent position for the firm’s next stage of growth in a market which, although challenging, is full of opportunity.

“My focus going forward is to further build on our values of integrity and professionalism by continuing to provide quality advice to our clients and creating a vibrant environment for our people ensuring we have the strongest possible team in place”

“We enjoy a great strength and depth of talent across all the disciplines and will continue to build on our growing reputation.”

Bruton Knowles is a national property consultancy with 13 offices across the UK in Gloucester, Worcester, Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham, Plymouth, Shrewsbury, Cardiff, Guildford, Taunton, Leeds, Manchester and London.
