High-tech patent specialist made an associate at Bristol law firm Haseltine Lake

Patent and trade mark attorney firm Haseltine Lake has made Caroline Day an associate.

Caroline, who is based at the Bristol office, has experience of patent prosecution in a wide range of physics, high tech and communication based technologies, ranging from ion engines used to reposition satellites in space, to kitchen equipment, fibre optic sensors, and quantum cryptography.

Chief executive Lesley Evans, said: “The award of associateship demonstrates our strong appreciation of Caroline’s contribution to the business and reflects her knowledge, experience and technical expertise.

“Caroline is a key member of the tlectronics and communications team and we are pleased with how she has developed client relationships - becoming the main contact for one of our major clients in the electronics sector.”

Joining Haseltine Lake in 2013 from an in-house attorney role at QinetiQ Ltd, a defence technology and research company, Caroline previously worked as a patent attorney within a London firm of solicitors.

Caroline said: “I am extremely pleased to be promoted to associate. Haseltine Lake is a highly progressive IP firm with ambitious plans for further growth and I am delighted to be part of the team helping to bring those plans to life.”
