Your Group has taken over Northern Ireland based Newmills Engineering. The move will see Newmills Engineering renamed Your Hydro and is designed strengthen Your Group’s position in the energy sector.

Newmills Engineering has designed, manufactured and installed more than 25 MW of hydropower capacity worldwide, with 30 years’ experience in the sector, in sites from the UK to the Dominican Republic, the Falkland Islands and Sierra Leone.

Your Group chief executive Jamie O’Nians said he was very excited about this latest phase in the company’s story.

Your Group was founded in 2010 and has grown from five people and a £250,000 turnover to 30 staff bringing in £8 million in revenue.

And the group has 85 MWhs of renewable power projects currently in planning and development.

“Your Hydro looks to continue to build upon the deserved reputation of the company,” said Jamie.

“Today’s move brings the number of companies in Your Group to five, each of which plays a complementary role in the delivery of clean energy.

“From project development to equipment manufacture, installation and maintenance as a group we have the knowledge and experience to accelerate the uptake of clean energy; helping businesses and communities thrive in the low-carbon economy”.

The move is part of an on-going development plan at the firm and will see a number of new jobs created at their head office at the Bristol and Bath Science Park, in Emersons Green.
