Global engineering firm to reveal its fortunes

A Gloucestershire success story and one of the biggest engineering firms in the region is due to reveal just how well it is doing later this month.

Renishaw, the world-leading Wotton-under-Edge-headquartered business employs more than 2,000 staff in the county alone and turned over more than £536.8 million last year is the business in question.

What started as a company specilising in metrology has grown into a firm whose core skills also include motion control, healthcare, spectroscopy and manufacturing. It has been and is involved in all manner of exciting projects, not least the Bloodhound car bidding to lay down a new supersonic land speed record.

As a publically listed company the business, famously founded by deputy chairman, John Deer, and now chief executive officer and chairman, Sir David McMurtry, is obliged to reveal all at certain points throughout its year and it is almost that time again.

Hence Renishaw plc is due to reveal its interim results for the first half year ended December 31st 2017 on Thursday January 25th.

There will also be a webcast presentation held together with a question and answer session at 10am on the same day.

You can read a summary of those results on our website but for those who want the announcement unfold they can register for access to a webcast by the company via the following link.
