Kohler Mira staff to end 2017 on a fundraising high

Throughout 2017 Kohler Mira staff have also been working tirelessly to fundraise for two causes close to their hearts - Charity: Water and Cancer Research UK.

Finishing the year on a high the team made a final push in its fundraising efforts with members of the Gloucestershire firm’s sales team embarking on a competitive golf day.

And just a few days later members from the Mira Showers marketing and finance team walked from the Kohler Mira Cheltenham headquarters to the firm’s Barnwood site near Gloucester and back again, covering 20 miles.

On the return journey, the team carried a full jerry can of water to emulate the long journey to a water source that many young girls and women make in developing countries daily. The monies raised will go towards the company’s efforts in building The Kate Henderson Well – inspired by and named after the Kohler Mira employee.

“I am so touched and delighted by the support of my Mira colleagues and friends in fundraising for this worthy charity. charity: water is a cause that is dear to my heart and I am delighted that we have contributed to its life-changing water projects,” said Ms Henderson.

Adding a touch of glitz and glamour to the fundraising efforts will be the Kohler UK Enchanted Ball, taking place on the November 3rd - a three-course dinner with entertainment for staff, suppliers and customers.

Emma Foster, senior marketing manager at Mira Shower, said: “Charity has always been a huge part of our company ethos, both Cancer Research UK and Charity: Water are extremely close to everyone’s hearts here so it is imperative that we raise as much money as we can this year.”
