Swindon-based furniture company set to expand across UK

A Swindon-based company that designs, manufactures and sells luxury kitchens, furniture and home accessories has secured a multi-million pound finance package from HSBC to support its plans to open several new stores across the UK each year.

Neptune Europe is using a seven-figure revolving credit facility and term loan to support the purchase of the new stores in Chesham, Buckinghamshire; Ashorne, Warwickshire; Harston, Cambridgeshire; Knutsford, Cheshire; Guilford; and Edgbaston, Birmingham.

The six new stores will create 60 new jobs in the same period and help the company meet expansion plans and turnover projections.

The company is also opening a 5,500 sq ft store in Bath, located at the former Tram Shed restaurant site in Beehive Yard. Following a major renovation project, the store is expected to open in January 2018 and will be a showcase for Neptune’s growing collections of furniture and homewares.

Giles Redman, managing director at Neptune Europe, commented: “We’ve been working with HSBC since the beginning and it has always been wholly supportive of our growth plans. This latest venture is no exception, and our relationship director, Peter Greaves, has been instrumental in helping us secure and refurbish our stores cross the UK.”

Neptune Europe was founded in 1996 and has been operating in the South West ever since. The company exports to territories across Europe and has a number of franchise businesses in the UK, Germany, France and Switzerland.
