Law firm continues expansion with appointment of new private client expert

Cheltenham law firm Lodders has appointed top wills, trusts, probate, care and capacity solicitor Victoria Borrow.

Victoria joins as assistant solicitor from Cheltenham firm Willans LLP, trained and qualified at regional firm MFG Solicitors and spent several years in the probate department of Harrison Clark Rickerbys.

Lodders also describes her as a specialist in assisting older and vulnerable clients on matters such as the Court of Protection applications.

The appointment, said the firm, would strengthen its leading care and capacity team of experts, and see the new recruit work closely with partners Jessica Beddows and Sofia Tayton.

Ms Borrow said: “I worked previously with Jessica Beddows at Harrison Clark Rickerbys up until she moved to Lodders last year, and I am looking forward to working with her again, especially on care and capacity matters, which is another key strength of Lodders and an area in which I am keen to grow too.”

Martin Green, head of the private client team and Lodders’ senior partner, said: “The firm has so far made ten senior appointments already this year, and Victoria becomes part of our thriving private client practice that itself has made several key hires. Our major recruitment drive continues as a key element of our ambitious plans.”

Also joining Lodders private client practice as an assistant solicitor is Sharon Crosby. The move marks her return to the firm where she trained and qualified, following periods with Chorus Law where she specialised in estate administration, and the Stratford upon Avon office of HCB Solicitors.
