De Vere Tortworth Court appoints new general manager and deputy

De Vere Tortworth Court in Gloucestershire has appointed Raphael Herzog as general manager and Neil Parry as deputy general manager.

The appointments follow a multi-million refurbishment of the hotel, which has opened a new restaurant (1853 Restaurant & Bar) and improved its events and meeting space including the orangery which was built in 1874.

Raphael has more than 15 years’ experience in the hotel and hospitality industry including roles at Holiday Inn Bristol, the Bristol Hotel and Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton.

Neil Parry joins De Vere Tortworth Court from his position as hotel manager at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Cheltenham.

Neil Parry has been appointed deputy general manager at the hotel

Neil’s hotel and hospitality experience stretches over 18 years with roles including general manager at the Holiday Inn Express in Cardiff and operations manager at Hampton by Hilton.

Raphael said: “After admiring the hotel from afar, I’m thrilled to be joining the team at De Vere Tortworth Court.

"The recent completion of the phase one refurbishment already presents us with many opportunities to position the property as the luxury country hotel in the area.

"This overhaul plays a big role in our efforts to better serve our clients by offering inspiring and motivating event spaces.”
