Waitrose renews contract with Bristol-headquartered British Corner Shop

The British Corner Shop, which is headquarted in Bristol, has renewed its contract with Waitrose to supply international customers with Waitrose-branded products.

More than 2,700 Waitrose own-label products will be sold through the online retailer.

Waitrose first signed an agreement with BCS, which ships UK products to over 150,000 customers in 146 countries, in 2016.

The supermarket has now announced a two-year extension to the contract.

The company’s managing director, Mark Callaghan, said: “With its commitment to quality and reputation for excellence, there is something quintessentially British about the Waitrose brand - and we are seeing increasing demand for its own-label products.

"This renewal not only creates huge opportunities for both Waitrose and British Corner Shop, but more importantly delivers greater than ever choice to our growing global customer base, cementing our position as the expat community’s number one choice for quality UK food brands.”

In 2017, BCS delivered over 1.4 million Waitrose biscuits to the British expat community worldwide.
